Ms. Mobashera Saima Haque received her B.Sc and M.Sc in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2012 and 2014 respectively. In 2015, she joined at the Department of Glass and Ceramic Engineering in BUET as an Assistant Instrument Engineer. Since then she is involved with the development of the state-of- the-art laboratories and research activities in the department.Prior to joining BUET, she worked as Project Proposal Engineer in an UK based consultancy firm where her job responsibility was to prepare research and funding proposals for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME’s) of European Union.

Mobashera has sound technical knowledge and practical work experience in material characterization techniques e.g. XRD, FESEM, XRF, UV/Vis/NIR, DSC-TGA, Dilatometer and also ceramic tiles & glass testing instruments. Moreover, she has built up skills on different application based multifunctional software provided with sophisticated lab equipment. Currently, she works with analysis software packages (HighScore Plus, XPert Texture, Stress, epitaxy etc.) used for determination and quantification of materials’ structural properties.

Research interest:
Her research concentrates on the development of magnetic thin films for MEMS and magnetic recording devices, biocomposites, cementitious materials, synthesis and characterization of nanomaterials for energy applications.
