Prof. Rajkumar Roy of Cranfield University visited the department of GCE regarding research collaboration and potential for graduate studies at Cranfield for BUET students. Prof. Roy is a distinguished academic and visionary engineer in developing Through-life Engineering Services (TES) technology and promoting ‘engineering for life’ culture in manufacturing companies across sectors. He has developed and lead high-performance teams over last 21 years and has significantly improved national and international visibility and reputation of Cranfield Manufacturing. He leads by example and with ‘excellence, energy and empowerment (E 3 )’ value system. He has also initiated development of a national industrial strategy on TES with Government and Industry. Developed the long-needed science base to cost engineering with a significant contribution to the UK industry. Established a post-graduate Centre for Design (C4D) integrating engineering, industrial design and management of innovation.
